SAVE THE DATE!

Mark your calendars: on June 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM EDT the Information Overload Research Group (IORG) will hold a 30 minute webinar where Claudia Erickson will present the mission and activities of The Unplug Collaborative.

** ZOOM ACCESS INFORMATION NOW AVAILABLE **

In this webinar, Claudia will introduce us to the Unplug Collaborative(UC) - a non-profit and home to Global Day of Unplugging®, Unplugged Village® and Unplug for a Cause® initiatives. She’ll discuss how the UC mobilizes community leaders to build a network and provide people with fun and engaging opportunities to unplug and create healthier digital habits, and will share the creative (tech and non-tech) ways that have been employed to get around info overload, to reach people and to help them rebuild community connection. Finally, Claudia will explain how you can get involved to create an Unplugged Village® in your community and to celebrate the 15th annual Global Day of Unplugging® (March 1-2, 2024).

About Claudia Erickson

Claudia Erickson is a Digital Wellness expert who helps people power down technology, and power up connection and community. She has worked in maternal child health for over 25 years and is Director of Partnerships and Co-Founder of the Unplug Collaborative, a non-profit and home to the Global (formerly National) Day of Unplugging, the Unplugged Village® Initiative and Unplug for a Cause®.

Claudia earned her bachelor’s degree in social work and master’s in public health from San Diego State University. Having raised kids (digital natives) she understands it’s not an easy task to help people find life-tech balance and believes there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to this issue. She is on a mission to help people develop a new relationship with technology, to make unplugging fun and to show people that it’s not about what you are missing, rather it’s all about what you can gain.
